The cold winter holiday months are fast approaching and that means with it, people are already either prepping to put up their Christmas lights or have completely skipped Thanksgiving fall decorations and gone straight to Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus and Reindeers zooming along on their lawns.
This year, the NYBG GLOW, aka The New York Botanical Garden Glow, event will be extending their holiday light show 1.5-miles. The entirety of the path is illuminated from top to bottom with brilliant lights washed over every wall and floor.
These lively nights return for their second year at NYBG with more displays to wander through and explore,” the website says. “See NYBG’s iconic sights and buildings come to life as dramatic, glittering canvases with the Haupt Conservatory and Mertz Library Building as the centerpieces. Washes of brilliant color, thousands of dazzling LEDs, illuminated plant stories, and whimsical, picture-perfect installations reflect the surrounding gardens and collections—creating a spectacle not to be missed!”
Along with an experience at the NYBG, you can get a discounted, combination ticket for both the NYBGF GLOW and the Holiday Train Show, where you can “enjoy a drink, hot cocoa, and a bite to eat at one of our outdoor bars or the Bronx Night Market Holiday Pop-up.”
There, you’ll find a slew of ice sculptures accompanied by music all around the Garden to enjoy.
Here you can find ticket prices and dates for you to hop on in on the brilliantly illuminated light show.
