Amazon’s Prime Video launched the trailer for the much-anticipated Red, White and Royal Blue, a gay romance based on the New York Times bestseller by Casey McQuiston which is set to launch on August 11th.
The frenemy novel centers on Alex, the female president’s son, and Britain’s Prince Henry whose long-running feud threatens to drive a wedge in U.S./British relations. When the rivals are forced into a staged bromance, their relationship begins changes and the grows to something neither expected
The role of the American President’s son, Alex is played by Taylor Zakhar Perez, 31, and Great Britain's Prince Henry (not the real one) is played by 28 year-old Nicholas Galitzine, with Uma Thurman playing the President of the United States.
In a recent People Magazine article about the film, Perez called the movie "a classic fairy tale with a twist for all generations."
