With nothing to do during a lockdown, it seems celebrity couples are making babies, left and right. Natalie Dormer, 39-year-old actress, famously known for her role as Margaery Tyrell on Game of Thrones, and her partner, David Oakes, welcomes their first child, a baby girl.
Dormer shared the news on the podcast That’s After Life, a fun podcast hosted by Dame Esther Rantzen and Adrian Mills.
It’s the perfect thing to do during a pandemic—get pregnant, have a baby. I’m probably being a bit cliché, but her daughter will probably be sitting in a bar in 30 years’ time one day going, ‘Yeah. I’m a COVID baby.”
But to the actress the birth of her first baby has been a humbling experience to her as she notes, “I’m never going to complain about shooting hours again because sleep deprivation is something else. People say, ‘Your whole perspective on life will change, and your whole set of value system’ and you sort of roll your eyes and go ‘Yeah, yeah’—and then you have one and you go, ‘Oh. Wow!’”
