Malala Got Married And Had a Beautiful Wedding

It’s just pure joy to see the images of Malala Yousafzai, 27, the Pakistani human rights activist who was shot in the head by the Taliban and was the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, beaming with happiness on her wedding day. She married her partner, Asser Malik, 24, a manager for the Pakistan Cricket Board, at a small Islamic ceremony called a nikkah, in Birmingham, England on Tuesday.
Malala shared the news on her Twitter account, “Today marks a precious day in my life,” she wrote. “Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.”
The newly married groom also shared on social media, "In Malala, I found the most supportive friend, a beautiful and kind partner. I'm so excited to spend the rest of our life together."
The couple posted images from their wedding on social media and they are beautiful and intimate and just lovely.
Celebrities and dignitaries posted their congratulations including messages from the likes of Greta Thunberg, Reese Witherspoon, Chelsea Clinton and Priyanka Chopra, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada . Melinda French Gates wrote on Instagram: “Congratulations! So happy for you both!”
