In perfect Lil Nas X fashion, the musician announced his latest album’s release date, Montero, with a ridiculous pregnancy shoot with People Magazine.
In the photo shoot, Lil Nas X wears a white, long, unbuttoned shirt along with white, loose slacks. Atop of his head is a flower crown. In one hand he holds a white bouquet of flowers and with the other he clutches his underbelly to support his growing baby bump. Proudly, the musician smiles to the camera.
Lil Nas X posted the collection of photos to his Instagram with the caption, “SURPRISE! I can’t believe I’m finally announcing this. My little bundle of joy “MONTERO” is due September 17, 2021.”
Of course, Lil Nas X’s social media stunt did not go without criticism from pearl clutching, conservative men who care so much about “what the children might think.”
In Lil Nas X fashion he responded by simply mocking them off the internet.
In one tweet, the singer responds saying, “you really on here calling a young mother to be ugly?”
In another tweet that is now unavailable, Lil Nas X responded, “if I take a shit on myself am I gonna have ur kids wanting to shit their pants?”
But to finally end it all after all the chaos and commotion, Lil Nas X tweeted, “Let me get offline, all of this negative energy is not good for the baby.”
Despite the musician shutting down most of the conversation with his satirical tweet, he continued to retweet his fans tweets that were mocking those who seemed all too outrage at the idea of a man having a baby.
If one thing is very clear, Lil Nas X literally does not give a fuck, and honestly we feel bad for anyone who gets in his way because at the end of the day they’re just going to be trolled offline.
The album Montero drops September 17th.
