As many of you know by now, I LOVE Galentine’s Day.
What I once thought if as a made-up holiday from Amy Poehler’s character Leslie Knope on Parks & Recreation is now one of my favorites.
What’s Galentine’s Day you ask? In the words of Leslie Knope, “Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast- style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”
For me, it’s like Seinfeld‘s George Costanza’s Festivus for the rest of us.
This year, me and a group of my besties are going to watch When Harry Met Sally and order in some Pastrami sandwiches from the local deli while we eat heart-shaped candies.
Happy Galentine’s Day to you all.
xoxo
