Once again, we are face to face with the day in which George Orwell’s protagonist begins his diary in the classic dystopian novel, 1984.
Isn’t it ironic that today, of all days, is the day on which the former president Donald J. Trump, came to New York City to be indicted on 34 counts of fraud and corruption.
Orwell’s novel about Big Brother and the conspiracy to keep social classes rigid as well as the world powers in constant turmoil was written in 1948, and published in 1949.
I am sure that as the story of this indictment unfolds, we will once again say, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
